Jake’s brother, Mitch, wound up third in the race. Mitch, who is just behind Ryan Turner in the series point standings, also won his heat race.

“It was a fun race,” Jake stated in a release sent out by Southern Ontario Sprints.

“Lapped traffic came into play a bit. It was a great track, really slicked up with a nice top.”

Jake is fourth in the series point standings.

The SOS series returns to action at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 16 at Ohsweken Speedway for Round 7 of the season. Visit www.ohswekenspeedway.ca for more information.
