Ingersoll hosted a trio of regional fastball championships last weekend at Garnet Elliott Park and Victoria Park.

The International Softball Congress Canada East Qualifier, the Legends Division and Under-23 Division championships combined to host 20 fastball teams.

The winners enjoyed paid berths to the ISC Worlds later this summer in Denmark, Wis.

The Toronto Batmen won the ISC Canada East Qualifier with an 8-1 victory over the Nith River Monsters. Caleb Keeshig was named the top pitcher and Tavistock’s Derek Hyde earned the MVP award.

The Owen Sound Selects won their second consecutive under-23 ISC Canada East championship with a 12-0 win over the Alvinston Aces.

Quinton Bruce earned the MVP and Kirk Santala was the top pitcher and threw a four inning perfect game in the finals.

In the ISC Canada East Legends championship, the Sudbury Relics won 11-4 against the Waterdown Hammer Legends in the final.

The top pitcher was Ward Gosse and Terry Challis was the MVP.
