The 3rd Annual Brock Badgers High School Invitational swim meet on Nov. 5 was a successful outing for Maté Marschalko.

The Grade 9 student placed first in all three of his individual events (100m individual medley, 100m freestyle, 50m backstroke), and added a bronze and a gold as part of two relays, earning 78 points for Holy Trinity Catholic High School.

The Titans, who were defending champions at the swim meet, came up just short, with 1004.5 team points. Brantford Collegiate Institute bested eight other teams, earning 1011 team points.

The Titans will be hoping for better results in Brantford in two weeks, where they have won the Blue Trojan Invitational the past two years.

The youngest members of the Norfolk Hammerheads got their first taste of competition at the recent Aqua 7 swim meet in Wilmot. Aqua 7 is a series of developmental swim meets designed to introduce swimmers to competition.
